I know many of you are concerned by the difficult times we work in and the seemingly endless pressure our clients put us under that reflects the economic climate.

It might sound overly simplistic, but I genuinely believe the best way for each of us to deal with this is to concentrate on the things we can affect, primarily how do we deliver the business growth our clients demand.

If we do that with passion, commitment and teamwork our clients will have the “partners” they want and we will all come out the other side of the downturn in the best possible position.

Virtual Jowett Vol.2

This is another interesting week at MediaCom. On Tuesday the £30m LVMH business moves into MediaCom, and with it the members of that team including Constantine, John, Louise, Gwen, Victoria, Aurelia, Diarmid, Andrea, Nigel, Rebecca and Tom.

The new guys, along with our very own Penny are the founders of an exciting joint venture that MediaCom is launching with a French partner, and this team will trade under the new name of KRMediaCom.

This is a great opportunity for MediaCom to extend our knowledge and expertise into the Luxury market and they don’t get much more luxurious than LVMH as our first client!

LVMH will bring a splash of colour to the agency with their eclectic brands that range from Louis Vuitton handbags to Cloudy Bay wine…something for everyone.

The team will be sitting on the 3rd floor near Binnsy’s team. Please make them feel welcome…and I am sure there will be some freebies knocking around !!

Virtual Jowett Vol. 1

dave-jowettThis is an important week. Today we start to re shape our company.

Over the weekend the second floor has been moved around to allow the first physical restructure out of the step change day….the single Investment and MediaCom Beyond Advertising (MBA) teams have been created.

Please take some time out to familiarise yourself with who now sits where, what team they are part of. Welcome them to their new homes…bring them cards, flowers and chocolates.

More importantly, if there is one thing I need you to do this week over and above your day job, I need you to remind our clients what we are doing and why.

We want them to understand that in the Age of Dialogue we are ensuring we are focussed to deliver the maximum media value, deliver the most insightful and engaging solutions and most of all we want to help them sell product.
